How to prepare your hands before a manicure appointment

A few simple steps before your appointment help your nail technician work under the best conditions, for a cleaner result and better wear.

Before your appointment

• Come without polish if possible, or allow extra time for removal on site.
• Avoid trimming your own cuticles in the days before: leave that to your nail technician.
• If your nails are very long and you want a specific shape, bring an inspiration photo.

What to avoid right before

Avoid applying a very rich hand cream right before your appointment: excess oil on the nail can affect how well the polish grips, especially for a gel manicure.

During your treatment

Feel free to tell your nail technician your preferences at the start of the appointment: nail shape, length, colour or desired finish. It's also the perfect time to ask any questions about aftercare.
