Eyebrow microblading: everything to know before you start
Microblading is a semi-permanent make-up technique that redraws eyebrows hair by hair, for a natural result that lasts several months.
How it works
Using a fine tool, the technician deposits pigment just under the top layer of skin, drawing small strokes that mimic the natural direction of brow hairs. The result fills in sparse areas and reshapes the brow.
How long does it last
Microblading lasts on average 8 months, with duration varying by skin type (oily skin holds pigment for a shorter time) and sun exposure. A follow-up touch-up refreshes the result.
Is it painful?
A numbing treatment is applied before the session to limit discomfort. Most clients describe a tingling sensation rather than real pain.
After your session
Brows look darker for the first few days, while tiny scabs naturally flake off. It's important to avoid direct sun, swimming pools, and not to scratch the area while it heals.
