Lash extensions: our tips before and after your appointment

A set of lash extensions lasts on average 3 to 4 weeks and calls for a few simple precautions, both before and after your appointment, for the best result.

Before your appointment

• Come with clean eyes, or light eye make-up.
• Avoid waterproof mascara the day before: it's harder to remove completely.
• Allow around 1 hour for the treatment, lying down and relaxed.

The first 24 hours

The adhesive used for extensions takes several hours to fully cure. In the 24 hours after your appointment, avoid hot water, steam (sauna, steam room) and rubbing your eyes, so as not to weaken the bond.

Everyday care

• Remove make-up gently, avoiding oil-based removers, which dissolve the adhesive.
• Brush your lashes gently each morning with a clean spoolie.
• Avoid mascara on extensions: it's usually unnecessary and makes removal harder.
• Sleep on your back if possible to avoid crushing the lashes against your pillow.
